Winter Time

Rising UK duo RxL World (made up of Reece and Lorenzo) have unveiled their new single, ‘Winter Time’. Arriving just as we head into winter, the single is perfectly timed and could prove to be an anthem for the season. With the track talking about trading in the cold winter weather for a holiday somewhere hot with your significant other, the lyrics are incredibly enticing. And when combined with the song’s chilled production, Reece and Lorenzo’s melodic rap flows and the gorgeous vocals of featured artist Selz, it makes for a fascinating listen overall and has all the right components to be a success.

Having been bubbling on the underground scene throughout 2021 with singles such as ‘Magnums’, ‘Winter Time’ follows RxL World’s proven recipe of fusing elements of rap and R&B with an afro-twist influenced by their backgrounds – Reece is Ghanaian and Lorenzo is Angolan.

Speaking further on the new release, RxL World commented:

‘Winter Time’ is about escaping the dark and cold of the winter time and going somewhere hot with your bae. There is never a better time to go on a sunshine holiday than the winter time. We came across the beat whilst we were in the studio finishing off another song and we really liked it. On the way home whilst the beat was playing, Reece wrote a banging verse and Lorenzo came up with the hook but didn’t think it would be right for him to sing it, so we drafted in the help of our friend Selz, who was able to bring the magic and bring the chorus to life.

Armed with their infectious hooks, addictive melodies and skilful wordplay, RxL World are undeniably ones to watch on the UK scene, with the London duo in prime position for a huge 2022 if ‘Winter Time’ and their previous releases are anything to go by.
