Wickedest

Tamera makes her anticipated return with scintillating new single ‘Wickedest’.

One of the most exciting afrobeat/R&B crossover acts to come out of the UK in the past couple of years, Tamera grew up in Kent in a household surrounded by powerful, uplifting female role models. This femininity and independence is personified by her raw, magnetic energy and absorbing, powerful lyrical prowess.

With grandparents originating from Nigeria, St Lucia and Greece, Tamera’s multicultural background is embodied by the versatility of her sound palette, borrowing from different genres and styles with incandescent ease. Her new effort follows on from breakout single ‘Flipside’, which saw her supported by the likes of GRM Daily, Annie Mac and BBC 1Xtra.

Marrying together intoxicating R&B vocals with West African percussion and gorgeous instrumental cadence, Tamera oozes confidence and sensuality on the summer anthem relating to embracing female empowerment and expression. Speaking on the track, Tamera said:

Wickedest is about embracing my sexual energy as a female. Finding strength in being able to love and be intimate with who you please and feeling liberated in doing so. It’s a flirtatious conversation with someone I like and lust. Almost teasing them because I know when it goes down I will not disappoint but also making it clear that I demand the same time and work in return

The steamy visual sees a dreamy Tamera allied with nature wearing a dazzling white garment and serenading the audience with her soaring vocals and playful manner. A must watch!
