Try

Not someone that you can box into one genre, we can tell from the amazing features he had with Pa Salieu, Lil Simz and the well received Sweetness EP collaboration with Sarz that he is fluid with it and always looking to suprise us with new sounds. Obongjayar once again didn't fail to shows his range in his new single Try ahead of his long-awaited debut album Some Nights I Dream Of Doors which is due to land in spring later this year.

Produced by Barney Lister, who also lent his pen game as he helped co-write Try with Obongjayar. The song is enigmatic and spiritual, it's powerful in its message and in its production; it will send shivers down your spine as it takes you into another realm. The song is direct with its simple melody which Obongjayar rides expertly with his moving vocals that call for motivation. The song is about walking down a narrow path with an uncertain future and doing your best to thrive anyway. I haven't been surprised by a track and artist like this in a long time, he shows his quality in this. The single is accompanied with commanding visuals by director Spencer Young.
