So I Can See You

Ahead of his March 4th release of his debut album So I Can See You, TONE gifts us with the namesake single. His mixtape was well received even though he admits he put it together in a rush, this new body of work was created during the pregnancy and subsequent birth of his daughter.

Teaming up with Coby Sey, they were able to create something extremely intimate and nostalgic. The production is light but heavy on the heart as the piano, drums and synthesiser all fuse effortlessly together to get you in a somewhat mediative state to help you find someone in your heart to relate to the sentimental lyrics.

It's easy to see that he was speaking about his kid and the attachment he has to her, with that being said this is a love poem that can be used by anyone who long to be close to their special one. The visuals directed by Luke Farley shows him in the studio with Coby Sey lacing down the recording, other shots show him reminiscing about his kid and then memories of him playing with his daughter. The album is will see him embrace the future and the new life that arrives with beginning a family. Each track was recorded on a Tascam 38 tape machine in the studio he set up with Mica Levi and Coby Sey in Hither Green.
