Track of the Week: SOLACE

Len continues to lean further into the avant-garde on his experimental, genre-defying new single SOLACE.

Len has been assuredly building himself as one of the most striking and unique names in UK underground rap, with his Sam Wise and ayrtn featuring April project DEAD END an intoxicating concoction of styles and moods. The Stockwell native, who supported Knucks on a UK tour, is fixated on pushing boundaries and moving his sound forward, with this new release the clearest indication of his boundless creativity.

Combining melodic vocal delivery with psychedelic sonics and jungle and D&B influences, SOLACE is a trippy excursion of energy and ambiguity. The pulsating and atmospheric instrumental provides a canvas for Len to paint a picture of obscurity through dreamy vocals and erratic lyricism.

Speaking on the release, Len comments:

‘Solace’ is about the sticky position of knowing someone isn’t good for you yet feeling like you can’t leave. It’s about feeling like your happiness is drained to the point you’re clinging onto good memories to fool yourself that things are okay.

Len is hosting his own sold out headline show this Saturday. If you’re lucky enough to have a ticket, make sure you’re prepped for a moshpit!
