Leo Chavez joins forces with South-East London wordsmith David Armada to release their first single of the year senzu’.

Leo, a multi-instrumentalist, inflicts his own spin on genre-bending music, producing a refreshing indie-R&B meets alt-hip-hop sound on the record, setting down a foundation for Armada to deliver two verses packed with witty and cultural references.

Using his heritage to his advantage, Leo draws influence from his cultural-backgrounds to inspire his artistry. The 19-year-old is very much in tune with himself, demonstrated by exploring topics such as existentialism, growth, and overcoming personal woes through music.

“Myself and David wanted to make something that merged our styles. We wanted to find a healthy balance between a mainstream sound and something you stumble across in a dusty old record store. It’s something neither of us had done before, however, it felt really natural.”

The two built an organic relationship after linking up through mutual friends, eventually leading to this collaboration. With a bright future ahead of them, 2021 will surely see more exciting releases from both artists.
