‘Mind Movements (Remixes)’ brings fresh interpretations of TAMBALA and Ana Barrena’s lockdown project from upcoming producers aptln, Meslo and Dwyer.

A producer whose craft and hype has been swiftly augmenting in recent times - thanks to working alongside underground stalwarts like Finn Foxell and B-ahwe - TAMBALA’s third EP saw him reconnect with childhood friend Ana Barrena. Thanks to their natural connection, the hotly tipped producer optimised the potential of Ana’s stunning vocal and lyrical nuance, constructing an EP brimming with serene, eclectic soundscapes and rich musical and narrative depth.

The projects successful release sprung TAMBALA and co into further action, enlisting some of the most interesting alternative producers in the UK scene for these striking remixes. The 3 tracks are expansive and diverse in sound and style; the spaced out, booming 808s of apltn’s ‘Talk Much’, to Meslo’s subtle lo-fi groove ‘Supa’, and Dwyer’s upbeat yet wistful re-imagination of ‘Universe’. Whilst remaining unique to each respective producers diverse approach, the three tracks synergise harmoniously due to TAMBALA’s sharp and focused eye for detail and the gorgeous familiarity of Ana’s vocals.

Whilst we wait in hope and anticipation for a collaborative follow up, these remixes give us some cascading solace.
