Leave Me Now

British-Nigerian artist Azu Yeché returns with his new single 'Leave Me Now,'. This track marks a poignant farewell to an unequal relationship, following his dual-identity exploration in last year’s EP, Soul Afrikanah.

In 'Leave Me Now,' Yeché delves into classic soul with slow-paced percussion, serene acoustic strings, and a commanding yet relaxed vocal performance. His lyrics, “if your lovin’ is ruled by someone else, leave me now, oh leave me now,” capture the raw emotional depth of unrequited love.

Yeché says, “I wrote 'Leave Me Now' from the viewpoint of being with someone who isn't as sure about the relationship as you are.” Collaborating with producer Jim Lawton, he achieved a stripped-back sound that remains true to the song's soulful nature.

Fans of Michael Kiwanuka, Lianne La Havas, Jordan Mackampa, and Leon Bridges will find 'Leave Me Now' essential. Yeché’s sound, blending soul, gospel, and African influences, has earned acclaim from BBC Radio 1, Earmilk, BBC 6 Music, Apple Music, and more.
