West London singer songwriter Matilda Mann drops ‘February’, in wake of her forthcoming EP ‘Sonder’. 

Matilda, just 21 years old, cowrote ‘February’ with Lapsley and Jonah Summerfield. Speaking on the track, she said “February is realising that maybe, the time with your person, is coming to an end”; something I’m sure a lot of people can relate to. 

With a lyrical maturity beyond most her age, and production which sits somewhere between organic and studio-made, Matilda floats along her succinct guitar chords like a little boat along her beloved Hammersmith River handing out flowers as she goes. 

Having previously supported Arlo Parks, Beabadoobee and The Staves, there is real pedigree in Matilda’s sound, which she herself does not want to be confined to any one thing. Matilda Mann will be playing at London’s Lafayette in October, an intimate setting for her intimate, settling music.
