Cheap Dreams

Hailing from Essex, R&B singer-songwriter IMONI recently returned with her gorgeous new single, ‘Cheap Dreams’. The track follows previous releases ‘Energy’ and ‘Hide & Seek’ and arrives alongside a colourful music video that was co-directed by IMONI. 

With her otherworldly vocals against a dark and moody downtempo production by LYP, the track makes a huge impression on first listen and marks IMONI out as a special talent with a huge future and one to watch in the UK R&B scene – which continues to produce world-class talent. The single is taken from a series of upcoming releases planned by IMONI after returning from a three-year hiatus. 

Speaking further on the new single, IMONI commented:

“‘Cheap Dreams’ is about the toxicity that stems from having unrealistic expectations of love and romance. It’s about the bittersweetness of seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses – which inspired my concept for the music video.”
