Change

Homerton’s V9 channels The Mask’s Stanley Ipkiss in the visuals for the spitter’s latest offering ‘Change’.

Continuing the streak-hot, the masked man links-up with rising producer Tefoma who takes us across a vibrant drill soundscape, layered with woozy woodwind, ethnic plucks and manipulated vocal samples - curating a mellow melody for V9 to coast across. Injecting energy, Tefoma punches in choppy drill-infused percussion to the woozy soundscape - creating the picture perfect canvas for the raw talent to thrive upon.

Turning to Kevin Hudson for this visuals, V9 channels Jim Carrey’s Stanley Ipkiss from the blockbusting ‘The Mask’; showcasing the hometown Homerton hero suited and booted in that notorious mustard toned suit with a matching fedora, as the driller switches up from a plethora of locations; from reciting the energy-fuelled rhythm on a velvet red curtain drawn stage, to gun fights wrapped up in humour, reminiscent of the 1994 film.
