Wanderlust

Breakthrough singer Kwaku Asante releases his 11-track Wanderlust EP alongside lead single, Scared. Written by Kwaku and executively produced by HYLNU, Wanderlust is a contemplative project that showcases Kwaku’s unapologetically vulnerable side as he lays all his cards on the table. The course of love never runs smooth and we hear Kwaku sing through the ups and downs of relationships and what has led him to this point. His voice is filled with emotion and the production - courtesy of HYLNU - provides the perfect backdrop for Kwaku to reflect on his story and display his vocal abilities.

When speaking on the EP Kwaku said:

‘Wanderlust’ are stories based on the premise of negative reinforcement. I know what I don’t want so it should also help me find what I crave. A place of refuge a safe space where I can be myself. These songs are a collection of stories in which I am wrong for the person or it is wrong for me. Existing in a world where events constantly effect our daily experiences, a person you’re with should bring you peace and not anguish.

This year Kwaku has made some lifelong memories, being on tour with both Samm Henshaw and Pip Millet which has lead the singer to perform in some of the most iconic venues across the country. Kwaku is renowned for his live performances and having previously sold out his headline show at the Jazz Cafe, his focus is now on his upcoming headline show at Village Underground on Monday 28th November. Fans can expect to hear some of the songs from Wanderlust performed live for the first time, alongside some of his previous hits including fan favourite Molasses and many more.
