Track of the Week: Only One

Augmented by silky wordsmith Feux, Sophia Lili’s break up ballad Only One is one of the most impressive debuts of the year so far. 

The West London R&B songstress, who is close friends with Feux and also hotly tipped rapper Ashbeck, has been surrounded by a budding community of creatives, aiding Sophia in manifesting her stylistic nuance. Having sharpened her skill set out of the public’s ear, the singer / songwriter looks set to stake her claim for a seat at the flourishing alternative R&B scene’s table. 

Written in the aftermath of a breakup, Sophia’s sensual vocals peruse through the mystical instrumental, with hip-hop infused drums and melancholic synths the backdrop for her winding tale of pain, vulnerability and independence. Feux flaunts his melodic ability with a tuneful featuring verse that compliments Lili’s spellbinding performance and emotionally potent lyricism. 

The track is the first teaser from Sophia’s upcoming debut EP.
