Track of the Week: NEW SKIN CARE

UK Alternative supergroup Minikingz remove a brick from the crumbling wall of artistic expectations in the modern industry with their swashbuckling debut cut NEW SKIN CARE.

The North London collective features three of the most charismatic and talented upcoming names in UK Rap and R&B: BenjiFlow, Oscar #Worldpeace and Ragz Originale. Each has established themselves as a pioneering artist in their own right, developing and nuancing their respective unique and eye catching sound whilst working with industry titans like Knucks, Skepta and FKA Twigs.

NEW SKIN CARE is an exuberant visual and listening experience. The track feels highly conceptualised and creatively fluid; genre-defiant but subtly so. Each artist lays bare their craft, offering inventive lyricism and striking flows as they seamlessly go back to back. The chemistry between the trio is electric, and no one stands out as the superior, with each incredibly adept performance equally shelling the melodic and robust instrumental. 

Speaking on the track, Ragz Originale commented:

“I believe this song sets the perfect tone for us as a collective. The main thing we wanted to get across was the synergy between us, and the drive for energy…we want to shake the skeletons out of your skin!”
