Tell a Lie

Exciting up-coming artist, Mikano reveals engaging new visuals for the track Tell a Lie from his latest project Akwa II. Involving fantastique film production techniques directed by Férina to create warm & nostalgic cinematography.

Fifth track off of Mikano’s latest album Awka II. Tell a Lie is described to be another Gen Z love song. Discussing the highs and lows of an honest relationship. It’s quite often said that people accentuate the positive side of a relationship and repress the negative, however, Mikano is embracing them both.

Visually, the initial interpretation of the video is that it seems to have an analogue feel to the footage, mixing what might be digitally filmed and edited to create an analogue film and stills which could well either be film photos or again digital with effects. The video involved these “freeze scenes” where the camera pans around a scene that appears to be frozen in time. Excellently executed.
