Ole Gan

South London ‘Afro-R&B’ pioneer, singer, and producer Maleek Berry drops his new single, Ole Gan. After a brief hiatus, Maleek is getting into album mode and intends to give everyone something to smile about before the end of 2022. The multi-talented musician has an enigmatic persona and is building his legacy on his own terms and re-claiming his crown within the thriving global scene. Maleek has returned with a bang and most recently performed alongside the likes of; Ckay, Nikita Kering, Pheelz, Sarkodie, and Compozers
with the BBC 1xtra Afrobeats orchestra.

When speaking on the single he states:

My fans have been waiting for me to make them dance, this is hopefully the one to do that. This is an ode to my real fans.

Maleek’s career to date is admirable and his fans have remained incredibly loyal as he’s evolved from a game-changing producer into an international artist. Clapham born and raised, South London has been hugely influential with its rich musical DNA, most notably Maleek grew up close to the iconic So Solid Crew who helped paved the way for him to follow his dreams. His earliest memories of music started at secondary school where he began making beats for a Grime group but fast forward to 2011 and with an urge to return to Lagos where his family are from, Maleek found himself making music for the likes of Davido and Wizkid and the rest is history. Ever since then, Maleek has been instrumental in kicking down doors for the incredibly vast popular genres stemming from Africa (most commonly dubbed Afrobeats) and bringing them to audiences around the world.

Maleek’s global sound is about to be taken to new heights, with some huge collaborations soon to be shared as he sets to release his highly anticipated debut album, If Only Love Was Enough.
