No Complacency

UK rap artists Da Realest and Jordsz LLGM collaborate to give us their latest single ‘No Complacency’, a UK drill influenced song with an extremely catchy hook.

‘No Complacency’ sits on a smooth drill beat with heavy drum patterns that bring the lyrics to life. Da Realest sets the pace with a strong hook that instantly creates the vibe of the song, and after two spins of the hook Jordsz jumps in and delivers the first verse with punch, clarity and a whole lot of calm; his smooth, relaxed approach matches perfectly with the chilled vibe of the first chorus. Another spin of the hook leads into the second verse where Da Realest comes in with full force, strong delivery and flow that compliments the choppy beat and melodic strings that wave through the song.

Produced by Kazza, the ‘No Complacency’ beat gives us the bass, melody, strings and instrumental gaps that we all look forward to in a drill song, the catchy double hook and individual verses from both artists brings the entire song together, showcasing the versatility in their styles and emphasising their smooth punchlines. The simple visuals in the video shift the focus to the lyrics and the beat itself which are stand out components and ultimately what we’ve come for... to take in the music.

Since the release of ‘No Complacency’, Jordsz LLGM has put out another single and Da Realest has a mixtape on the way so these are definitely two artists to look out for.
