Motions

B-ahwe announces her upcoming EP ‘Motions’, and releasing her absorbing offering ‘Circles’.

One of the most unique and refreshing voices in alternative R&B, B-ahwe has compelled listeners with every eclectic release she has blessed them with, especially her ethereal 2020 project ‘Nuance’.

Following on from her earlier 2021 release; the swooning, irresistible offering ‘Bewitched’, B-ahwe somewhat switches gears for her new number, opting for a hip hop based approach, reminiscent of her collaborative work with underground legends Lausse The Cat and Nix Northwest. The seamless combination of playful rapped flows and soaring, celestial vocals sets the track a-light, while TAMBALA’s subtle, jazz infused beat highlights B-ahwe’s wistful retrospect.

Speaking on the track, B-awhe comments:

I used themes of time and the changing of seasons to address issues surrounding mental health. The isolation we’ve been through during the pandemic has provided a bit too much time for introspection; I hope this song reaches people to let them know that they’ve not been alone in that.

A lavish and enthralling teaser into a broader conceptual body of work, B-awhe’s upcoming EP could prove to be one of this years most progressive and engrossing in the alternative R&B field.
