Guten Tag / Jeden Tag

PS Hitsquad flaunts his versatility and solidifies his status within the top tier of UK rap on new double sided singles Guten Tag / Jeden Tag.

Having built a reputation as a key member of Peckham’s infamous Zone 2 collective, PS has been going from strength-to-strength throughout the last year. Besieging socials and rap pages, PS dropped the most watched Fire in the Booth freestyle of the ’21 series, as well as unleashing an assortment of hard hitting road classics, such as Black with Peckham legend Giggs, and Petrol Station with Zone 2 affiliate Kwengface. Unveiling a murderous flow, unparalleled confidence and nuanced storytelling, PS’ beat dominance and sheer grit makes him one of the most exciting names in drill right now.

2022 is already looking like PS’ year with this impressive double drop. Released via Moves Recordings, who the rapper recently signed for, the two tracks illustrate differing aspects of PS’ creative instinct and musical ability. Guten Tag is a full-blooded, entertainingly immersive drill cut drenched in sinister one liners and ominous instrumentation, with PS delivering a signature energetic showcase of flow, tone and diction. Jeden Tag parades a lesser known and publicly explored side to PS; an introspective real rap number that allows fans to see the thoughtful manifestations of a street kid whose difficulties have shaped his cold heartedness, a characteristic that he sees as a necessity for a driller.

Speaking on the release, PS stated:

I can do what these other guys are doing all day,” he points out “-it’s what they’re not doing that I’m interested in, that’s what I’m gonna do. I don’t wanna do the average, cos man’s not the average. I saw how [Giggs classic] Talkin the Hardest went off at the O2 at the Wizkid show, 12 years after it came out and wheeew… That’s mad, that’s what I wanna do, timeless shit. Big man ting, I’m trying to make timeless music

With an EP set to drop in the spring, PS and his Zone 2 drillers look set to conquer the scene this year.
