The Queen of R&Drill is back and making sure there is no dust on her crown. Bothered with chest is the concise way to describe Shaé Universe’s new release Give Me A Break. Shaé’s strong and elegant vocals perfectly capture the frustration of relationships. Mix in The Prodigal Sons intricately layered production and you’ve got a masterpiece showing how multidimensional drill  can be.  

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Shaé Universe has made waves in the UK, West Africa and beyond, making music that engages, enchants and inspires. Her mother a gospel singer, and her father a pastor, Shaé weaves her spirituality, faith, and sensuality through her work. Shaé is an artist who can both sing and rap, and has been co-signed by the likes of Lalah Hathaway, Jorja  Smith and Little Simz, all while remaining entirely independent and navigating the industry on her own terms. 2022 is set to be Shaé’s year and any resistance to that is likely to fall on deaf ears as her music is simply undeniable.  

Give Me A Break is another chapter strengthening her reputation as one of the UK’s brightest talents and in Shaé’s own words:
