Come Over

California native Kowloon hones his distinctive, cinematic sound on the industrious, introspective and magnificently malaise ‘Come Over’. The multi-talented artist has been gaining momentum over his last few releases, fusing elements of disco, R&B, pop and indie, developing his own brand of nimble, silky smooth pop music. On his latest cut, Kowloon uses a variety of sonic textures and sounds, connecting lyrical themes of anxiety, joy and desperation to forge a track most easily described as a conflicted groove.

The opaque, musically progressive instrumental blends memorable guitar and synth riffing with audacious, fluid bass guitar and bustling percussion to create a broodingly breezy vibe that is brisk and compelling, offering an creamy and engaging sonic landscape for Kowloon to weave his mediated, thoughtful narration. The artists vocal delivery is slick, subtle and purposeful, remaining laidback and coy, whilst the lyrical content is calculated and emotionally potent.

A track that works well as both a poetic piece of art and a pure, relaxing vibe, this is a well rounded and mature cut, confirming Kowloon as an exciting, vibrant artist.
