Emerging singer/songwriter Kwaku Asante drops surprise three-track EP, ‘Blue Solstice: Vol 1’, featuring new single ‘Feel Something’ alongside unheard tracks ‘Tightrope’ and ‘Northern Lights’.

The project marks a shift sonically and creatively for Kwaku who deliberately wanted to switch things up, offering a more uptempo and funky project. Working with multi-instrumentalist Dan Holloway across both unreleased tracks, ‘Tightrope’ tells a playful story about a love interest that keeps you on your toes whilst ‘Northern Lights’ is about falling head over heels.

Speaking on the single he project he said:

Now people are outside and allowed to socialise and dance I wanted to make something that could exist in that space

Following the success of his debut EP ‘HoneyComb’ in 2019, which garnered radio support from the likes of Jamz Supernova and Dj Spoony, Kwaku quickly sold out his headline show at London Omeara. Since then he has never stopped evolving and his second EP ‘Ode’ - which dropped earlier this year - was an introspective project which showed a softer and more subdued side to his music armoury. Multi-layered both as an artist as well as the man behind it all, Kwaku's characteristically smooth vocals are what sets him apart and this is only the beginning.
