Bloom

Matilda Mann, the swooning starlet destined for greatness, has released new single ‘Bloom’, plucked from her upcoming EP ‘Sonder’.

The West London singer songwriter has been stunning listeners with her soothing vocals and retrospective writing since she cascaded onto the scene with her sumptuous breakout 2020 EP ‘Because I Wanted You To Know’. The new offering follows directly on from recent efforts ‘Doomsday’ and ‘My Point Of You’ as she builds up to release her sophomore body of work.

The instrumental consists of wistful guitar chords and an uplifting rhythm section in typical indie fashion, as Matilda’s soft, celestial tone lights up the soundscape with serenading colour. The mix is subtle, complimenting the gentleness of Matilda’s voice. The track is accompanied by a gorgeous, vivid video shot by Aria Shahrokhshahi.

Commenting on the lush new single, Matilda said:

‘Bloom’ is about meeting someone too soon. Sometimes you need a little more time, to figure out what you want and how to be alone, so that you don’t give too much of yourself away to someone else. Sometimes it can just be a phase, or you feel like you made a mistake. But I think, as time goes on, things like that become more clear it was the right decision.

An enchanting and absorbing artist, expect Matilda to transcend into a league of her own.
