Back & Forth

One of the many prodigious newcomers to bless the UK R&B scene in 2021, Rmarni returns with her sophomore single ‘Back & Forth’, a kaleidoscopic and upbeat offering.

Paying ode to noughties R&B whilst incorporating elements of neo-soul, drill and afrobeats, the Dudley-born Rmarni is an invigorating spark for the West Midlands scene. A few months back, the singer/songwriter releases her debut single ‘So High’, a vibrant, lavish track that drifted through cadence and rhythm with endoscopic elegance. ‘Back & Forth’ continues in the same vein.

Rmarni’s voice is immensely soothing; riding the beat with gentle charisma she eases the listener into the spell-binding narrative. With heavily reverbed synths, a groove-laden bass line and busy, afro inspired percussion, the beat is both cathartic and energetic - the perfect palette for Rmarni’s softly seductive vocals.

Speaking on the accompanying 90s inspired video, Rmarni commented:

This video was so much fun. With everything we have all gone through this last year we wanted to have fun with this one and bring a real party vibe to it. The concept behind the video was all about bringing that Millennial feel-good vibe back. We had a lot of different set ups which were all really fun to shoot.

With a jaw dropping social media following and seemingly boundless musical talent, Rmarni is going to be huge - you heard it here first!
