5EB GMT Sessions

Young buck 5EB is back with an eclectic two sided offering with his GMT Session presented by Archie Erskine.

The 18 year old comes fresh off his spirited track 'Lon-Don' that we covered not too long ago, as well as a collection of unmixed and unmastered tracks over on his Soundcloud including features from pioneers such as Ashbeck to keep his audience occupied while he’s still locked up in the lab with a bunch of bangers due for release in the near future.

5EB rides an exquisite beat (we backing the thesaurus out for this one) courtesy of Sainté’s go to man on the keys Parker Jazz providing those warming West Coast vibes just as the UK begins to become a little less stingy with the solar waves. Fendi jumps in with a soothing hook that grabs the audiences’ attention off the bat: ‘I ain’t spat these bars for a minute… but I’m back now’ - acclaiming his return to the mellow mannered approach he can pull out the bag now and then. Following his suave hook, the North Londoner breaks off into a chain of elated melodies with a hint of auto tune touching base on his love for life and making it clear that he’s cut from a different cloth in comparison to these other artists.

B-side of the session see’s the talent slowing the pace down a little, weaving through a thought-provoking KatManDu production encouraging the artist to step into his lyricism, punching in his bars across the beat with a sense of complete deliberation - as he sets down some honest insight before breaking off into a melody: ‘music real special, it can touch you through its energy’. 5EB’s soft harmonies that follow, embrace the gentle harps strummed throughout the ether, as he encourages his listeners to keep their heads up during the times they may find themselves fallen off the path.

5EB inked up with videographer and director Archie Erskine by the docks of Liverpool to capture the visuals for the two parter, presenting Fendi posted by the water bringing some needed energy on a clouded day reminiscent of his Mixtape Madness Next Up? performance.

So go run up the audio on all streaming platforms and check out the video on Archie’s YouTube account while we wait on the forthcoming GMT Sessions episodes and some fresh 5EB!
