2Personal

Raheaven has released her highly anticipated EP ‘2Personal’. With her latest release having been produced by Cadenza, who has worked with musicians such as Jorja Smith and M.I.A, Raheaven debuts her talents for songwriting and unique stylings that put her in the forefront of the underground scene.

Speaking on the story behind 2Personal, Raheaven states that it’s:

The diary of a bad b*tch vol1. I wanted to get all the way honest for those who can relate. The project came to life through my real, most personal thoughts. I’m excited to share her with the world.

Surrounded by music constantly, Raheaven grew up as the eldest of five in North London. After her parents move to the UK from Eritrea back in 1989, they decided to form a band with other Eritreans. Of course, this was before Raheaven was born but it is clear that the musical strands that run through her parents were passed down. With her father being able to play almost any instrument and her mother a confident icon to her, they created a band to raise money for Eritrean civilians during its 30-year war for independence.

There is always music in my house. So, from a young age I knew how important music was and what it could do for people. I wanted to do that.
