Compton’s finest, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar were mediated by DJ Critical Hype to break the time barrier and give us what we’ve all been waiting for. With vocals from Kendrick Lamar’s double platinum “DAMN.” album synthesized over the classic beats from Dr. Dre’s timeless album “The Chronic”, a true OG feel and form was present. This concept has been in the minds of West Coast Hip Hop fans all over the world since the emergence of Kendrick Lamar in 2013. The fact that this was able to be brought into fruition is a true talent in itself. DJ Critical Hype is no slouch when it comes to his work. This ^DAMN. Chronic is true a work of art; for the culture, by the culture. This is a magnificent project by DJ Critical Hype and we hope to see many more of these era clashes in the not too distant future.
