Text Me Twice

Brighton based songwriter Casper the Ghost is lovesick on the abstract and elegant ‘Text me Twice’ featuring rapper Bobbie Johnson and produced by Harvs Le Toad. Following a string of Soundcloud releases, this new track will be sure to impress old followers and new fans alike, with assured performances and platinum, spacious production.

Casper’s raspy, striking tones portray a voice full of personality, and her Brighton accent shines through in an endearing manner, with her languid and instinctive delivery suiting the timbre of the song perfectly. The airy, retro vinyl synth floats along, with an adventurous bassline and modern drum kit helping to create the bittersweet overtones. The beat switches up effortlessly for the verse from Bobbie Johnson, who comes through with a verse full of imagery and wordplay, as well as an understated, authoritative performance in a vehement feature.

An accessible and assuring listen, this is a song that I struggle to find fault with. Casper the Ghost has talent in abundance and the beat is absolutely gorgeous. Top marks.
