After Party, the debut single from London R&B songstress Tess Kharyn, is a rhodes-filled, melt-in-your-mouth track, which is sure to tug on the heartstrings.

Meshing the current trend of R&B, trap and electro, Kharyn manages to push forth subtle, sexy undertones, reinforced with a balanced instrumental arrangement. It is refreshing to see this kind of female R&B starting to make waves in the UK, with echoes of American vocalists such as Chiara Noriko and Alina Baraz immediately apparent in Kharyn’s vocal style. After Party succeeds in occupying the space between an easy-listening song, and a reflective piece of music. As her debut track, After Party ticks all the boxes and then some, making this a truly enjoyable and impressive start to what will hopefully be many more exciting things to come from the vocalist.
