Nigerian born Manchester artist Dámì Sule has hit the rap and poetry scene once again with his newest album "Rough Canvas". Caressed by soft vocals and melodic tunes, Dámì has really epitomized and compassed the art of putting poetry into rap.
Creating strong imagery and sense with his diction and melancholy bass, Dámì Sule’s "Chains" questions his freedom and what it means to be free. Not wanting to conform to society's expectations Dámì speaks on his wages and racial prejudice. He also speaks on the pressures of social media how it lead to him not knowing himself. All synonyms to his societal “Chains”. Rough Canvas is an eye-opener. Dámì does a great job of seeing the world from his perspective - along with all of its imperfections.
