Something In The Water

This is a serious link up that paid off well, as Kojey Radical collaborates with Leicester's rising R&B starlet Mahalia with Swindle on production. Now that’s what I call a link up as “Water” serves as a hazey Jazz number, seeping funk to Mahalia’s angelic effortless vocals that brings nothing less than a summer breeze.

Speaking about the track, Kojey says "I wrote 'Water' to document the moments where ignorance no longer feels like bliss. I wanted the record to feel familiar, like having a conversation with a person you worry about because of the unpredictability of tomorrow. It's a song for the feelers as well as the listeners..."

Listening to Kojey for a while I can firmly say that every track he releases gives us a piece of him ranging from different emotion to his inner thoughts, and collaborations with other artists only comes about if it feels right to him as well as add an element that he couldn’t do himself. I see Kojey as a perfectionist and this track is just that.
