slipped

Bookended by a mesmerizing beat, Con Cook presents his latest musical endeavor, ‘slipped’.

For this release, Cook worked in tandem with longtime friend and producer Faux Sala once again proving the power of international collaborations. Together the duo explore the act of falling in and out of love. Cook cleverly condenses his romantic experiences into one metaphor that he speaks on throughout the track. The mellow vocal delivery that Cook has mastered guides listeners through the questions that can arise as one grows in a relationship.

The looped beat that begins and ends the tune is gracefully disrupted by a beautiful guitar solo that compliments the energy of the song. The soulful notes are played with care, taking listeners high and low mirroring the subject matter Cook reflects on.

The project is memory provoking, causing listeners to take a moment to contemplate and gives them a peaceful space to do so. It’s skillful productions like this that keep us coming back to Cook for more.
