‘SLIME’, the second track of Shygirl’s upcoming EP ‘ALIAS’, is a dialogue between the artist’s alter ego’s: the self-assured playboy and the determined bad bitch. As usual, Shygirl refuses to censor herself, with the taboo-inspired lyrics stitching together the electronic and grime influences to create the perfect underground club banger.

The suggestive lyrics fuse with the sinister, genre-bending instrumental, produced by the experimental pop princess SOPHIE, as well as Shygirl’s longtime friend and collaborator Sega Bodega and Kai Whiston. 

Filmed over FaceTime, the impressive lyric video features Shygirl’s friends and collaborators, starring Mowalola, Arca, Kelsey Lu and others. Piecing together snippets of the hidden parts of their lives, the video manages to perfectly capture the intimate yet electric feel of the record.
