Skippin

Dreya Mac boldly announces her arrival with her latest release ‘Skippin’, a track displaying a varying range of vocal abilities not heard too often in the UK scene. It’s refreshing to hear a unique take on a track that is built on the acoustic noodling of a guitar that soon greets the heavy 808s that any great number has to get the party started, courtesy of Kill Miami. Although it is naturally a slower song, it’s clear to see that there are elements and levels to this that are really memorable - that track at the motive that gets everyone attempting to sing in harmony with each other.

Now I’m not one to draw out comparisons when writing about an artist’s music, as I think they deserve their own acclaim, but as she is fresh in the scene, the instant likeness I would bring to potential listeners is 070 Shake who hails from the US. Check out Dreya Mac if you want the combination of emotion-filled singing with the overall production sound of a classic artist.
