Siamese
2022 has been a fantastic year for UK music, particularly the evolution of rap. Embodying this, Kwengface releases Siamese, featuring Knucks, sonically a mosaic collaboration.
A tale of drill dancing with U.K. rap.
Peckham rapper, Kwengface debuted in 2018 with singles such as, Tour De Opp Block, 3 Stripes and Brainy Bunch each coherently embedding drill customs, which is continued to this day. Prior to this release, Kwengface has collaborated with drill artists such as; Digga D, RV, Karma and Gully. West London rapper Knucks, first joins Kwengface to create Lucious, where we witness Knucks captivating steadfast sepia aesthetics. With an unexpected jaunt of drill 808 and rough production by Carns Hills.
Teaming up with Knucks again, neither interrupt each other's essence of sound yet the energy is fluent and compliment each other greatly. The track despite Knucks being the feature, feels to be more U.K. rap than drill unlike the last, it is as if both have swapped roles on each single. Melodies feel much smoother and the tone of vocals softer.
Another collaboration would be thrilling to see, how would they surprise us next?
