SHE MIGHT BLEED

Following rave reviews of his 2021 album AND GOD SAID…, Birmingham-based artist SIPHO. strikes with the release of his sophomore EP SHE MIGHT BLEED. Winning over the likes of The Guardian, NME, The FADER, The FACE, and many more, the critically acclaimed artist has successfully garnered a faithful audience.

With SHE MIGHT BLEED, SIPHO. lays bare his soul, each song overflowing with emotion. SIPHO. is vulnerable in his journey of enlightenment, his EP an experience rich with a complimentary mix of sounds, and in true SIPHO fashion, they blend‌ perfectly. Previously a child of the church, its influence is present, with notes of gospel peaking through the polished combination of genres. His vocals are strong, exuding passion, and almost theatric.

Known to write and produce his music, SHE MIGHT BLEED is no different and brings an impressive collaboration with producer Joseph Rodger. Standout and initial releases, singles OCCASION and BEADY EYES feature on the EP, with SIPHO. gifting us a powerful performance of OCCASION on A COLORS SHOW

Signed to Dirty Hit record label, SIPHO.’s respect for his craft presides, as he speaks to NATIVE about the release of his EP and specifics of the curation of songs for SHE MIGHT BLEED. Explaining his process of carefully selecting 6 tracks from an extensive archive of material, he talks about his desire to convey a clear narrative and expresses the importance of storytelling in his work.

SHE MIGHT BLEED is a strong offering from the 21-year-old artist and is a must-listen. With the EP full of instrumentals, the production asserts a great live show and we’re in luck as the musician prepares for his UK tour, set to kick off in London on March 23rd.
