RACKISTAN

The hype currently surrounding Len is palpable and with his latest release RACKISTAN, the South-West London based artist looks to add to what has already been a very fruitful year.

2022 has seen Len add to an already impressive résumé with the debut of electric singles such as the lustrous liquid track SOLACE. This year also saw the release of Len’s latest mixtape, DEAD END, a banger-filled project accompanied by the sold-out headline DEADLINE show. This latest run by Len is not just capitalised in name but in intention also; 2022 has been a statement year, seeing the assertion of his Rockstar status and the clarification of his path to superstardom.

RACKISTAN stands as another valuable contribution to the ‘rage’ sub-genre currently championed by Yëat. The production is dark, filled with undulating synths and punctuated by Undertaker-esque bells. The track is permeated with erratic, energetic adlibs in the background, adding a sense of urgency to the track whilst exacerbating an already wicked ambience.

RACKISTAN is filled with quotables, providing throngs of Instagram users with bohemian captions such as ‘don’t ask for my pronouns... you know I’m already Him’ as Len effortlessly delivers a metaphor filled performance. Boastfully touching on topics such as money, women, and the lavish lifestyle synonymous with rap, Len still manages to capture a refreshing playfulness in an otherwise crepuscular track by employing buoyant flows and witty punchlines.
