Alone

Ted Jasper is cathartic in his musings of longing and reflection in his new single. Written for his girlfriend, Alone is an intimate and melodic offering from the artist and producer. Last year, earning the ‘new name’ endorsement from tastemaker and DJ Annie Mac, his novel and distinct sound, coupled with his signature knack for tapping into emotion distinguishes the artist as one to watch.

Channeling some of his influences, namely St.Germain, The Neptunes, and Ye (Kanye West), the artist pulls the underpinning of jazz, downtempo-house, and hip-hop to create a sound that's so refreshingly unique yet kindred in lyrics, that it's hard to not tap repeat.

Alone comes off the back of steady releases, including his recent double feature No Bad Dreams which conventionally hit a more pensive note for the artist. Nevertheless, with Jasper’s creative inclination and tracks like Back for More and Stella, we look forward to future releases as the days get warmer and moods begin to shift to summertime feels.

Catch his show at Peckham Studio May 25th.
