Liana

The Paris-based collective creating their hybrid-sound, compiling influence from afrobeat, alte and hip-hop drop their uplifting single, ‘Liana’. Coming as part of their recent mixtape, ‘Bleue, Vol 2.0’, the track rapped in part French, part English brings feel-good and simplistic yet soulful production, honing live guitar under Afrobeat-inspired drums.

Featuring the distinctive flow of the experimental musician Ceddy, lending his wholesome vocals throughout the hook, followed by Rad Cartier and Jeune Faune supplying their verses back to back over the incredibly-produced track from Astrolabe Musique (Mugen, Talia B and Sandro 313). It’s certain that this is just a taste of what the six artists have to offer, let alone the rest of their record-label collective over their various projects.

Having also released their atmospheric visuals for the track, the video from Antoine Deslandes & Elodie Balaguer brings the single further to life. Composed of pre-lockdown visuals of the collective’s performances and rehearsal of the track, it shows the process and lead-up to the release of the sublime single and eclectic mixtape.
