Exclusive Premiere: Kdeem - Eugene Delacroix

South London’s Kdeem is set to release his upcoming project imminently, and is joined by Rizzy2Flyy on his latest song Eugene Delacroix, a dark trap track championing late night creative inspiration.

Much like the rest of the project, Eugene Delacroix revolves around a theme of intoxication, presented clearly through the tightly-produced instrumental. This theme also ties in with the other main narrative of late night creativity, in the sense that one is either triggered or inspired by the other. Late nights are often a prime time to create music, and late nights are also a prime time to indulge in drink and drugs, and when done right can create a perfect environment for music making.

Lyrically, Kdeem impresses, with his tight recognisable flow caressing the beat, whilst maintaining a consistently dark image. The track feels natural, like it could be applied to anyone, addressing and pushing boundaries within the track that were not thought to exist before. Everything slots perfectly into place, and this pushing of boundaries also depicts the powerful move by British artists into the field of trap music, something seen as inherently American, yet moulding it into a grittier, realer sound.

Kdeem is set to drop The Stardust Cafè on the 17th of February, an enthralling 14 track journey through the mind of Kdeem, showing a succinct move forward, from start to finish. You can stream the track via our SoundCloud below now.
