IC3

Every grime fans’ dreams have come true as Ghetts enlists Skepta on his latest single ‘IC3’. This follows on from a string of tracks that the London emcee has released such as ‘Mozambique’, ‘Legends Don’t Die’ and ‘Microsoft Word’. Ghetts still remains in top form as he trades bars with Tottenham-born Skepta, over a hypnotising dark beat produced by TenBillion Dreams.

This track is nothing short of the quality Ghetts and Skepta have been known for within the UK music scene for the past couple of years and has solidified the reason why they are the best in the grime scene. The song, named after the British Police code to identify black individuals, repurposes the phrase and claims it with pride. They talk about their experiences of being a black male in the music industry and its release is timely with Black History Month. Despite this link-up feeling long overdue, these lyrical legends have provided fans with a track that shows grime definitely is not dead.
