Another shining light in the luminous alternative R&B stratosphere, Femi Tahiru closes out a progressive year in style with ‘Home’.

Combining elements of R&B, soul, indie and pop, Femi’s creamy, polished vocals are matched by his vibrant instrumental palettes. The singer-songwriters ear for melody and engrossing approach to writing is showcased in abundance on his gorgeous, atmospheric EP ‘D.E.M.O.S’, which was unveiled earlier this year. Having recently sold out his headline show at Paper Dress Vintage, it’s apparent that Tahiru is an artist destined for a fruitful career within the alternative and indie space.

The new offering sees Femi’s hued soundscapes and acute introspection at its vivid best. The instrumental groove is bouncy and dynamic, with an adventurously smooth bass line and snappy drums combined with jazz-infused chords and a memorable, wistful hook. Femi’s depictions of the meaning of the song’s title are profound and heartfelt, commenting on the lyrical content:

One of his strongest releases to date, this is an artist with a fluid, resonant sound and bags of potential. If he’s not on your radar yet, he should be!
