South London rapper & producer Tariq Disu releases his highly anticipated EP, GW - which stands for Generational Wealth. Following both ‘BOUNCE’ and ‘LONDON’, Tariq has garnered an organic buzz, leaving his audience in anticipation ahead of the forthcoming project. The entirely self-produced LP invites listeners into Tariq’s mind-field, exploring his genre-shrugging sound which merges Rap, R&B and Electronic under one roof.

Created in South London, ‘BOUNCE’ and ‘LONDON’ both showcase Tariq’s murky instrumentation made up of a contortion of samples and riffs. The feature on the project comes from previous-collaborator and fellow South-native Sam Wise on ‘REGULAR’. Complimenting Tariq’s tranquil vocals, ‘WOOP’ and ‘CLEANSE’ display his abstract drum patterns, leading the up-tempo production as he transitions through gears towards the heart of the project. Slowing things down ‘EVERYTHING YOU DO’ draws from his R&B palette, offering ethereal melodies which magnifies his sonic range. Further highlighting his production qualities, ‘FREE RIDDIM’ offers a percussion-heavy instrumental with hints of vocal-samples from Tariq himself, exploring new depths to his creativity. Closing the project, Tariq merges dreamy vocals with melodic grunts for ‘MANTRA’ to once again conquer a new aesthetic.

With early cult classics being responsible for his tight knight following, Tariq’s listeners are eagerly anticipating what’s to come. With no sign of slowing down and endless unreleased music in the vault, Tariq continues to drive forward on his musical journey, solidifying his name in the scene for 2021.
