Go Away

South Carolina based artist and producer Contour provides us with his latest release ‘Go Away’. Honing in on his distinctive style, he takes inspiration from 80’s pop duo Strawberry Switchblade who released the original version of the song in 1985. Contour puts his own spin on the record, with his enjoyable combining with the effective piano, drums and additional layering of vocals.

Moving between solo and four-piece formats across his previous releases, he works across various mediums to present his creative vision. Current musical output exists somewhere between jazz, soul and psych-rock; sonically covering a lot of ground.

I remember walking with you to the rocks
Not knowing what you had in mind
I closed my eyes to make a wish
But opened them up to find
You’d slipped away
