Surfacing from South of the river, House of Pharaohs’ Sam Wise blesses us with his latest project ‘Free Game’.

Sam has rose through the ranks in recent years courtesy of iconic entries such as; Lizzie, Charmer, Haze and the wheel-up worthy Mad About Bars offering alongside his fellow HOP brother Blaze YL. Let’s not forget racking up a whopping 288k monthly listeners on Spotify alone too, the man is slowly yet surely taking over the UK’s scene before our very eyes - with living proof held in his recent shellings at the back-to-back run between the power-house pairing Leeds and Reading festivals.

‘Free Game’ see’s Sam weave between a plethora of sonic disciplines, from; spirited-spitting, lullingly strung spoken-word and of course that nonchalant cadence Sam can sub-consciously tap into at any given time. Not to mention his taste in production, the finest to say the least; turning to the likes of Archie Cardella, DSharp and the Capital’s sonic captain Jamo Beatz. 

Impressive enough right? Well, Sam doesn’t let up there, sourcing features courtesy of absolute sonic titans such as; Lord Apex (‘Pay Up or Lay Down’), Knucks (‘Indeed’), Jesse James (‘Cheque Came’) and long-time collaborator Yung Fume (‘My Block’). Bringing us a masterpiece filled to the absolute brim with some of the best talent our small coastal Island has to offer as we speak, and in doing so placing this multi-faceted journey up there with some of the top projects to grace the industry this year.
