This series has now evolved to cover the best submission tracks we have received and expose you to some great artists from around the world.

Lam. - Know U [Prod. Yondo]

LA is known for it’s sunny disposition and this tends to flow into its music scene. However, there’s always a dark side to every city and this is reflected in Lam’s latest track ‘Kno U’. Produced by Yondo, Lam glides effortlessly over this Trap beat with nonchalant delivery. Not too busy but still interesting, this is the perfect track to put on to get you in a meditative space.

Dabbla - Long Gone (Ft. Jam Baxter) [Prod. Sumgii]

After dropping the cinematic visual for ‘FUTDNorth London artist Dabbla is back with ‘Long Gone’. The second single to drop off his forthcoming album ‘Death Moves’ features Jam Baxter and these two MC’s never stop the punches rolling. The video is described as “a nine-month bender spent between North London and San Francisco, across polluted freeways, abandoned fairgrounds and the edges of the cities' sky-scrapers”. Dabbla’s been doing his thing for a while now and this project solidifies that he’s here to stay.

Track titled 'Long Gone' is part of Dabbla's forthcoming LP 'Death Moves' and features Jam Baxter. Produced by Sumgii. PRE-ORDER DEATH MOVES NOW on VINYL, CD, DIGITAL & CASSETTE from https://www.potentfunk.com/music-1 Produced by Sumgii. Video by Spin City Visuals.

MuhTeyOh - RMB (Run It Up) [Prod. Sri Rama]

‘RMB’ benefits from a production rarity - a choice of sample and intelligent editing that accents unusual points in the rhythm. This allows for MuhTeyOh’s self assured flow to leap and free fall in and out effortlessly. The content tells of hard earned rewards for an inspired grind, we like.

Chikaya - Satellites

Self proclaimed "blue haired songstress” Chikaya dropped her latest EP DESCEND last month and it’s what we can only describe as ethereal. The Bristol artist takes you on a space journey through 6 tracks and at the midway junction is ‘Satellites’ - dark, moody and full of warm textures. Chikaya sites her artistic inspirations as old Sci-fi movies and cosmic pixel art and this shines through on an intergalactic scale.

Rita Klara - Lush

The French rap takeover is here and booming!  Mixing R&B vocals with a Trap flow Rita Klara brings us her energetic standout single ‘Lush’ straight off her latest EP Fancy LoveYou can already hear this shutting down the club on a late-night set, having all the ladies feeling themselves and rightly so.
