browneyes

Jaydonclover’s latest track browneyes is more akin to a romantic daydream than a musical experience; a combination of transcending vocals and laidback production to ease the listener into a 3 minute-long whimsical reverie.

Elusive electric piano and laidback drum beats give this song an airy intimacy that is only elevated by jaydon’s deliciously delicate vocals. Encompassing a song’s message in five words is a difficult ability, but the songstress does this flawlessly with the lyrics: “are you going to catch me?”. Clover perfectly encompasses both the emotional turmoil and the duality of a couple’s experience of falling in love with this question, a feat that highlights her lyrical ingenuity. The inclusion of Delaware-based MC ZekeUltra only consolidates this message by featuring bars that both contradict and compliment the song’s initially positive message concerning falling in love – reminding the listener that every romantic milestone has two sides.

Jaydonclover’s newest mixtape room service? Volume one is set to drop on October 14th, and – if this track is any indication – isn’t one to be missed.
