The dark, broody timbre combined with captivating, charismatic lyricism ensures that the new track ‘Blacklist’ from rapper and producer Tim Duzit is a definitive success. The self-produced, ominous instrumental creates an atmosphere that entices the listener, while Tim Duzit explains why he is on “so many bad b blacklists”.

The vocals in the song are sustainably compelling, with some interesting melody work. The artist doesn’t rely on his bars, and the vocal production is well suited to the track, fitting well with the instrumental. Tim Duzit’s voice sits nicely in the mix with his dynamic tone owning the beat and directing it into its suitably murky outro. The minor orchestral samples combine with the deep, lurking bass and airy synths to give the beat substance and identity, bringing the best out of Tim’s boundless and tuneful voice. Sonically attractive and well written, this is a song with a lot of personality. Tim Duzit could well be an artist to look out for.
