Black Ones

Exciting rapper Che Lingo joins forces with the legendary Ghetts on potential single of the year ‘Black Ones’.  The track leaves the romanticism of the hood for dead, highlighting the deeper insecurities the British youth face trying to distance themselves from gangs and crime and giving us another very real perspective of life from two sides of the coin (Che’s and Ghetts’s).  The track comes with the news of Lingo’s debut album on it’s the way in the fall, titled ‘THE WORST GENERATION’ out via Idris Elba’s output 7Wallace.

Lingo explains:

Black Ones is a day to day, cautionary tale of the hood for those who don’t want to be a part of it anymore having seen the destructive sides and want out now that they’re older and more wise. Problem is, it always catches up with and follows you. This song is my telling the pressures of a life you’re trapped in rather than a lifestyle you think will give your freedom.
